duh, yes it was '94, that'd be HOT if i could get a copy of Last American Show!! let me know how. still the best concert ever for me, idiots at digital nirvana still list it as the Coliseum instead of the Seattle Center Arena (now Mercer Arena), a totally different building. that box set looks fucking awesome...wish i could afford to outbid your suitors.

re bullshit behind the scenes:

i've been reading this book about james tilly matthews. he was a tea merchant in the 1700s who went completely mad, and told people he was trying to broker a peace between france and great britain, but a gang of seven who controlled a machine he called the air loom were keeping him from succeeding.

funny thing was, he in fact had spent time going back and forth between french and british dignitaries trying to broker some sort of peace. the stress of the task brought out his up to that point buried schizophrenia.

it's called the air loom gang. goes off on tangents now and then, but a pretty good book, i think.
