It's official: I'm going to be an uncle.
The wee one should be arriving in April, which will give me plenty of time to hoard gifts and save up for airfare out to Oregon. I am determined to be the "cool uncle." I think I will do very well in that role, especially since it's one I've wanted to play for a long time now. Not that my little brother is a square or anything, but the kid is going to need some source of good/obscure art, music, books and films, as well as bawdy tales of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. And Buckminster Fuller. I'm going to teach that kid a lot about my dear Bucky.
In other news, I found out that I am to inherit a collection of a dozen or so video game consoles and accessories from the pre-Nintendo days, some of them going back as far as 1974. The geek museum-ification of my apartment continues unabated...
As for right now, I am naked. Yep, it's already afternoon and I have not bothered to get dressed. There is no one here to be horrified by the sight and my cats don't seem to mind, so I won't don clothing until I need to go out for cigarettes. So there.
