Finally, it is starting to get cold again here. Every year it seems to take longer and longer to hit that freezing mark. Now maybe my apartment will drop below 90 degrees during the day. I actually burned out the motor on one my fans the other day. Three months non-stop blowing and it just gave out (I know what you're thinking and that's NOT what I meant, although it is an interesting image). But now fall is finally here. Hopefully the snow is not far behind. I have two brand new sleds to try out and for the first time in a couple of years I am actually insured so it is definately time to hit the hills. I never did managed to squeeze in much biking htis summer so I am WAY behind on my injury quota. I might even have to take another shot at the snowboarding thing, although I'm not certain I can take another concussion. This week, though, I'll just have to settle for helping my parents clean out the cabin for the winter. Then I can go regenerate by my lake since the cold will have driven most of the tourists out of Duluth by now. Yay, winter!!

Overheard this today:
"Procrastination is like masturbation; it feels good while you're doing it, but, in the end, you're just screwing yourself."

I'm enjoying the newly arrived crisp air, too. In the winter, I spend lots of time baking and cooking, and as soon as the crisp weather comes in, I start. By this time next week, I'll be back to the routine of making an awesome tomato soup and mini pesto provolone open faced sandwiches. And, the best part is the apple crisp. I make at least one apple crisp a week, usually with caramel or cinnamon ice cream. Yum.

Starting this week, sandlas are too cold, and it's time to get sweater shopping! Going to the Mpls farmer's market at this time of year is awesome! Your nose gets just a little cold, and there's cider or an au lait to warm up!

That's what I'm doin to celebrate the season change tomorrow...going to the farmer's market. Have fun cleaning the cabin!

I do not like that quote......perhaps because I am the biggest slacker on the planet. frown

Sheesh....90 degrees in your apartment? That's way too hot for inside.

Sleding, and snowboarding and all of those winter activities sound like so much fun.
