I hadn’t realised that it had been so long since I was last an active member on this site. In the 7 years since I was last on here quite a lot has happened.
I found someone in a romantic sense, thanks to a well known online dating site.
On the one year anniversary of our first date, I proposed to her. With the help of some shortbread
We bought a house together and we moved in together in our lovely house in Wales.
At an animal shelter, I was picked out by a cat who now lives with us. She’s a little black cat called Liquorice, though we just call her Boo
I lost 5 stone in weight. That’s 70 pounds or 32kg to people who don’t use stone as a measure of weight
I grew a beard
Me and my fiancé got married. Her name is Karen, but she isn’t “a Karen”. It was a great day with all our friends and family around us.
I got a promotion to night manager at a store closer to our new home. And after about a year or so, I stepped down as the long hours and stress were taking its toll on me physically and mentally. You know it’s time to change something at work when you’ve come close to slamming your hand in the cardboard baler just to get some time off! Plus it was affecting life at home too
And now, after a long time trying, we are expecting our first child! It was really unexpected, as Karen was told it was very unlikely she’d be able to have children. Because of that, we had tried adopting. But we were unsuccessful. Now we’re over the moon and waiting until September to meet our little one.
So that’s pretty much everything Noteworthy that’s happened in the last 7 years
