So my first week at my new store hasn't been the easiest.
The first week was a bit odd, as my assistant manager was on holiday for three days. so i was kinda thrown into the deep end at a new store with no real support in store. This week we've had a supervisor decide she doesn't want to be a supervisor any more, and another supervisor just quit! So we've been left in the shit quite frankly. But i haven't stressed, i've risen to the challenge and now i think everything is sorted. So i'm feeling a lot happier now.
I was actually off for the first weekend at my new store (and so missed the Newent onion fair) as it was my friend Martins stag do. On the friday we had a day of ten-pin bowling, go-karting and laser tag. Not exactly the most grown-up day out, but it was a real laugh. On saturday four of us (me, martin, andrew and dave) headed to Leeds for a night out. The day didn't start particularly well. Andrew missed the train, so we had to wait for him in Birmingham while he caught up. After that slight miss-hap everything went well until, martin had his first drink and promptly threw up! He was ok after though and really enjoyed himself. We all ended up rather drunk (me more so than everyone else, i blame the tequila!). We did end up loosing dave at the end of the evening, but he made it to the train the next morning so that was ok. We all had a really good night!
On a random note, i'm re-reading all of Strangers in Paradise at the moment. I'd forgot just how great it is. everyone should read it!
Oh,and Guitar Hero 5 is very addictive.
