I hate goodbyes

After five years as assistant manager at my store i've been moved to another store. My district manager came into my store last friday to tell me that from this wednesday i'd be assistant manager at a new store. As you can imagine i was a little upset (i spent most of friday in floods of tears!), especially as i wouldn't get to say goodbye to everyone. But now i've had chance to think about i realize that it's a good thing that i'm moving. Truth be told i probably should have left there about two years ago. Because my old store ran so well, i never had to try very hard so it'll be good to have a bit of a challenge from now on.

The store that i've gone to used to be a Somerfield but has now become a Co-op and they wanted someone with experience to help them out for the next few months, hence me moving store. So i went in there Wednesday morning with the view of being there for a few months. Then, in the afternoon, my district manager came in and told me that i wouldn't be at this new shop for a few months. In fact, from next monday, i'm going to a completely different store as acting manager (and getting paid as such! )

So there's a lot of change going on in my work life. All of it good and all of it overdue for a while. To be fair it's my own fault i've not moved on before. I was too comfortable at my own shop, and if i hadn't been told i was moving i would have probably stayed there forever while my abilities stagnated. So it was just the kick up the arse i needed

Now i just need to make some changes in my personal life.
