In a passing conversation tonight, a friend mentioned that he got the "worst fortune" ever from a fortune cookie recently. I don't remember what, exactly, it was, but I was reminded about a good friend of mine who got one that was totally blank, and I told him that I should stay away from him for fear of the extremely bad karma that such a thing would entail. It was only then, after relating the story, that I realized that the person who received the blank fortune was killed in a motorcycle crash soon afterwards. I know it's a stupid coincidence, but it REALLY hit me tonight. I had to leave the room for a moment to compose myself. I'm not even sure why I'm writing this... I just have to get it out of my system, I suppose. I must admit.... I'm a little freaked out right now.
