Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!

As a special birthday treat to myself, I took my horse out for a long trail ride through the woods and fields around the barn. It was fabulous. The sun was shining, the weather was just right, not too hot, not too cold. We tackled a few jumps in the woods, cantered through the fields, and even saw a beautiful red fox. After we got back to the barn, as I was grooming her, I found a tick on her leg. Eeew!!! Then I started looking. And I found another! And another! In total, I picked 15 ticks off her legs. Eeeeeeeeewwwwww!!!!! This has been the story of my life lately. Everything is almost really nice. But I can't complain too much. It could be much worse. It could be the leach scene from Stand By Me.

Speaking of horses - three cheers for Barbaro! You go Michael Matz! What a horse, what a trainer. Triple Crown, here we come!
