A nice relaxed getaway. Gonna be a peaceful few days.
Certainly can’t help that thought if I look out the window. Maybe not so much if I actually go outdoors. The sunshine makes it look warmer than it is lol. Still, brighter days are ahead. And I do love Summer, for a number of reasons. One, my birthday is only two months away, so I’m working to cut down my usually expansive list of things...

Not that life has been difficult or anything, just had some unexpected changes. Mostly a sort of promotion. Well…not quite. Better in a way. A secondment to a management position. The difference..well..I can’t get fired if I screw up lol. Just busted back in rank. Not that I’ve screwed up yet. I just have to not get complacent or cocky.
It’s a weird feeling really....

I’ve been getting nothing but congratulations on my new development secondment role and while that’s gratifying, it’s hard not to do well at something when no one is holding you to account over anything. Two weeks from now, that’s going to change. My fellow manager on Twilight will come on board and then we will have actual targets to reach and goals to hit. That’s...

I’ve been doing a lot of introspection recently and this question just popped into my head. There are things we do and things we feel and believe, but which of those are core to us as a person? For me, I’m a writer. That’s a given as not just something I do, but something I can do. My talent or calling, I guess you could...

…well, it certainly is looking that way. What had started out as simply a project for my career path could be heading towards not exactly a promotion but more a secondment to a small time manager role. From the little I’ve heard I would be a manager in all but name. I’d have a small team that I’d manage just as a manger would. Hours...

Gone a bit light on decorations this year, mostly because I had to throw out a lot of streamers that were damaged. Next year I’m gonna make it up with lots of new stuff. Also dug out the stocking I’ve had since I was 2. Pure nostalgia.
I’m still in shock from hearing this; that David Jason Frank of Power Rangers fame has died aged 49. That really is no age to have your life end. If there was one person in my life that was my first idol, it was JDF. He was just the kind of person I’d have given anything to be. Not in terms of his martial arts...

Nostalgia over being ill, can you say you’ve ever heard of such a thing. It’s not that I’m nostalgic over the illness itself, I’m not reminiscing about symptoms of halcyon days. Like remember the days when I had that scratchy sore throat. No. But I do have good memories of times when I have been sick. Like one Christmas around 20 years ago. Well more...

I guess an argument could be made here that simply by social distancing and wearing masks etc at work might mean that I’ve avoided the infections that would have given me some immunity to help fight them off. Guess it doesn’t matter really. Either way I feel terrible right now. I ache in places I didn’t think you could ache. I mean toes…seriously? My thighs...
