It's been sooo long since I've done anything other than work... this year I'm going to make more of an effort to get out more. A swedish online friend of mine is coming to England, possibly staying permanently if she can find a job & somewhere to live. We may go see the Meteors play next week, and most definitely KMFDM in July!
Other than that, I really don't know what to do, haha. I hardly know anybody outside of work.. I've tried to get in touch with old friends, even tried my old bandmates.. but so many people have changed or moved away. I'm finding it hard to even make friends online atm :/
To bring you up to speed: I lived in Croydon until I met my gf in 2002 and I moved to Bournemouth to be with her.. then last June we moved back to Croydon. I now work at Cyberdog in Camden, it's a lot of travel but it's better than most retail. Hopefully I'm going to get out of the store soon and work on their website instead, which would be better.
My own clothing website Subculture Cannon closed down soon after we moved, not really out of choice.. :/ It was mainly because it was a lot more hassle when applying to the council to get housing benefit. (For non-UK people, that helps to pay rent for people on low incomes). My girlfriend has a chronic illness (CFS / ME) as well as fibromyalgia, so she is housebound a lot of the time and unable to work, so I'm trying to support us both... doesn't really leave us with much spare money, most of the time I only just manage to pay the bills.
But yeah.. I'm hoping this year will be better... I am fed up of being, well, fed up.
