Greetings, my lovely SG community! 🤗
This is me, Alice (doing some cosplay preps, and trying to keep my mind busy with stuff, other than everyday worries):
* by the way, you'll be able to see this wig soon in one of my new upcoming cosplays 😏
And this is how lately 'mornings' look like in Kyiv:
that's not a fog... That's the smoke with a smell of burned houses, blown missiles, and drones.. And when you come back from the shelter, your whole apartment smells like a wooden oven, where you probably overcooked your weekly ration (with a bunch of melted tires and wires)
After such days, you don't know what exactly your life is at this point... What are you doing? What's happening with the world around you?.. Will you wake up tomorrow?....
BUT! Nonetheless, I am back! And I haven't told you about that FanCon cosplay convention yet, remember?! So buckle up, if you've read so far already, I'll try to keep the rest of this blog bright and colorful 🌈
So, to start with, this is one of DOSENS photographers, who asked me for a photo back there:
My initial plan for this convention was to get a FREE ticket, by applying in a fancy costume. Yup. That was it. At least I thought it would!..
I was expecting SOME photos, and maybe a few looks here and there... But being photographed ALL THE TIME, I couldn't even make a few steps out of the makeup room. Didn't expect THAT much attention 🫠
-there should be a video from my TikTok, where I just stand still and wait for all those people to take a photo, but the link doesn't work for some reason-
As a result, I was trying to hunt all those 'fans' on Instagram and TikTok, to get at least a few decent photos of myself 😅
But on the second day, I finally asked for a short break (you can see my exhausted face), and found this pinky Space Marine!
But one honorable mention should come to the Maolocosplay, who gave me an encouraging speech about high heels and the difficulty of being a cosplayer 😅
Overall, this was probably THE GREATEST experience I've had so far with my cosplay passion. Which makes me do MORE (so you better prepare your likes! especially if you've read this far)
On top of all those chains and weight, I've also had to keep my body 'make-up':
I couldn't say it was hard... Until the ComicCon ended, and I spent almost all week resting in my bed 🫠
Still 10/10 experience (AND A FREE TICKET, YAY!). I won't tell you about my most embarrassing 2 minutes on stage, though (or maybe I will, if this kind of post gets more than 30 likes?)
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been there, and who is still here, reading this, being supportive. You guys ROCK too!
Sending love to all of you from the underground parking lot, since we already have another drone wave coming onto Kyiv, as I write this.
Stay safe 😘❤️
