I have had a ton of stuff that I could talk about..good and bad things..but I just couldn't be bothered to type it all out
I'll briefly say that I've been very stressed lately cos my mom is sick (a pretty bad ear infection) and has no insurance...but we got her to a doctor anyway..I'm helping her pay for it and her medications...and hopefully she's going to be okay
so I am looking to help her get insurance and I'm paying for half of it each month..I hope this works out
the government sucks cos she should be getting free health insurance...she makes next to nothing, is self employed, and lives alone/pays all her bills alone
so needless to say I've been very worried about her
I am also stressed cos it's Christmastime and I am still trying to recover from my (nearly two month) summer unemployment
I was also kind of sick myself this week with a cold AND got my period on top of that AND worked a lot
still getting over the cold a bit...but I'll live
I really don't feel like complaining about stuff anymore as much as I could
instead I've been trying to focus on positive or neutral things in my life like :
meeting Jude Law
(see my last blog)
and reading (comics, magazines, finishing Smashed)
watching movies (Igby Goes Down, Last American Virgin, The Lake House, Dario Argento's Deep Red, The Fountain)
and shows (Veronica Mars, Nip/Tuck, Dexter, going to watch Tivo'd Heroes)
listening to mix CDs made by friends and lovers
Twin Peaks Season 2 dvd is coming out soon!
I've been wanting to draw more often, but I have to be in the mood..feel it..or it won't come out right...so I haven't
but I did take some pictures with my 35mm a couple of weeks ago and had them developed...nothing special really, but a few I liked
i really liked this for some reason..i like circles

That's a bass, not a guitar!
I'll tell you some secrets - these 'Superstar' people are whacked. For the most part, they are narcissists, liars, thieves........and now they are old & UGLY to boot!! And the new hangers-on are even creepier - living off the mythology of the dead. Some are even impostors (Edie's 'niece'? Fake.) Most of them are so removed from reality it's gross.
However, there are some originals & 'second-generation' who are genuine & lovely & our good friends. My man tends to attract the younger crowd - he's got a bad reputation historically, but that's because he's honest & not everybody appreciates that. (He started out as a photojournalist - the Factory was a long-term subject - although he never thought it would last.....forever?)
I hope you like the book - we're kind of disappointed with the editing job. The text is really good, the photo reproductions are overly designed. Oh well........there are more photos (thousands), so more books in the future.
And FYI, I consider Ciao Manhattan a snuff film. When your star literally dies at the end......what else can you say?
(Jude Law, hee hee. I'm a fan - he bought our art.)
