I have this magnetism to "celebrities" that most people haven't heard of haha

in the past week I have had 3 encounters...the first one was Ric Ocasek (see last blog)..though most of you DO know him

then I met John Hawkes

he was having lunch where I work
I didn't wait on him, but he was sitting at the counter and I noticed him when I was getting something
and we started talking
and it was really cool..we talked for a while cos it was slow
and he's really nice and inspiring
and though he's my mom's age (47) he looks younger..and he has nice eyes
he has this Vincent Gallo thing going too...

I recognized him from Me and You and Everyone we Know and Deadwood
but he has an extensive resume (X Files, Identity, 24, Buffy, the Perfect Storm, etc)

he's also in a band called King Straggler
they also have a myspace
the guy from Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is in that band too hehe

John had a good handshake, kind eyes, and inspiring advice about me wanting to get into photography


I also had a brief encounter with someone I'm sure none of you know haha

I was sitting on the N on my way to work when a well dressed man sits right next to me...I got this feeling that I wanted to look at him, but I didn't because he was RIGHT next to me..
i was reading, and out of the corner of my eye I see him put his hand down on the seat between us...
then he gets up to get off the train, so I take the opportunity to look at him, but his arm is up holding on..covering half of his head, but I see his mouth..and I'm like...those lips! I know those lips!
then as the train stops, he puts his arm down and I see who he is!!!
I was like OMG!! and I stared at him as he got off the train and walked by on the platform outside the train

so I wanted to kick myself cos I had an opportunity to talk to him, but because I didn't look at him when he was sitting next to me, I missed it
I mean...how often does that happen?! that an actor gets on the SUBWAY and sits down RIGHT next to you
gahh

my mom was the only one I could tell that cared and was as excited as I was haha

anyway...yeah..so here's where you MAY have seen him:
my mom and I loved the MTV show Dead at 21 back in the early 90s
he starred in that
he's also been in Barb Wire with Pam Anderson, Event Horizon,
and Alive with Ethan Hawke
he was also in the video for my favorite Bon Jovi song Always

my job is going better moneywise
and I've picked up two brunch shifts next week, so hopefully I'll make amazing cash
