Next, I'd really like to ask if anyone can recommend a nice, simple open-source alternative to Windows Live Movie Maker, which I have been using like forever, but which has, for some horrible reason, started to put an intolerable strain on my CPU at every stage: conversion from MP4, reconversion back again, not to mention compiling the actual film from the project file - my only hope of it completing that task is if I've cooled the computer down nicely beforehand, but when I did this last film I got a distinct aroma of burning plastic in the flat, and that can't be good ... xxx
