i watched Amelie last night and was pretty close to mind blown. The cinematography is amazing and the rest of the movie was even better. It's great. Alot of films try to cater to people who aren't entirely the norm, but this does an excellent job of taking it a bit further to get into the eccentrists. I was impressed if you hadn't noticed.

the plot of the hopeless romantic throughout most of the film got me in hopeless mode, so thus i'm going to be bold and put up a poem i wrote about someone i fancied in colorado springs for sometime.

The Time I Tried...

On a roadtrip long since past
I met a friend of a friend in a smoke filled room
While playing billards I took many a glance across at her
Slowly taking in any bits of personality thrown out

A shiny silver shirt screamed look at me, I'm gorgeous.
Body language and short somber looks said look at me, I'm human.
Shy though I am I tried to converse, pick up lines and chit chat I had not rehearsed.
After a bit to a home we did go, at first their were four,
then sleep struck, leaving a trio.

Talk of music and art raged on, nearly till the sun decided to dawn.
Road weary and worn my eyes did shut, and at morning a shower did call but guess what.
The date was not certain and her thoughts insecure.
Like a hurt bird I wanted to tend to her, comfort and care.
Hugging and snuggling and all things cuddling

At night time a kiss that made me pass out.
To think I had found a woman so bountiful.
Not to be blunt but damn sure mountable.
Slow nights and slow days, slowly they'd fade.
Back to my home I had to abound

Sorrow, insomnia, depression unwound.
That thing that was so dear, so precious, so pure.
Shattered and destroyed by lack of care, oh
and my junior year.

Though feelings have left that one I held close
Still nothing seems to lay mine to rest.
While friendship and hugging her makes me feel great.
I'll never forget that first time I tried.
And finally got to kiss the prettiest lady I'd ever seen.

While this tale is sore, bitter, and rancid,
it's more a story, to remember the past in.
To some the future is all that matters
to me the past, those warped, dark, and tattered,
Makes me eager to keep on looking.

Part yearning to have those feelings come back
A high unmatched, even by smack
Rhyming to much can be kindergartenish
but to feel what I've felt, to see what I've seen,
to have been there and talked and into her eyes have seen
No regrets will be held, fate is the way
But I hope I can kiss her again someday.
