Well I got hired at a local University as a Digital Media Specialist. I finally got over the feeling useless deal and am pretty excited about the job. It's benefits include free conintued education and training so I might work on a Masters Degree or some computer related certifications and definitely try to go to some web and 3d training sessions.
Also now that I'll have a steady paycheck coming again I'm looking into the possibility of starting up a coffee shop. Aside from the bars in town there really isn't much to do, and I think just the high schoolers alone would keep the place in buisiness. Plus it'd be cool to have a place for bands to play and some of the solo musicians I know. If I get lucky with the loan I could even get a place with enough room to build a small skatepark with a mini halfpipe. I think that would almost meet every goal I've wanted job wise. If it all works out and a girl comes along I'll be high sailing.
Now just to get the thing going, get some new equipment for at home, work on my 3d portfolio, and hopefully get a job at a game company in a year or two and move out west.. Anyways, even though the lack of comments makes me wonder why I type in here, I figured I may as well.
Oh yeah me and the bassist from one of the bands I record for is starting up an industrial band. We've been working on beats and loops and now just gotta do some riffs and lyrics,. It's not all that evolved yet but I am getting more and more excited about it everyday.
