umm.. i guess its been a while since i've posted. i've decided i'm going to type one blog and use it multiple places, as, i have a few blogs over the net now, and find i am neglecting the others. alots new. not alots interesting, i promise.
i've taken towards attempting to meet new people in any way i can. so i've created a few profiles on dating sites, getting signed up on all the scenester type sites, not so much out of desperation but more just because i feel i've always limited my searching a little, and why not put myself in a venue that people can find me easier if they want to.
so far i've met a few people, hung out with one, i hope somehow, someday, i find a girl that'll take all these ill thoughts away for good.
the record label is moving as well it can for me being broke, and it continues to make me more broke. this month i don't have enough money even with credit cards to make it to work gas wise till the end of the month. i usually flip out about things and they work out, so i'm not too worried yet, but, it makes no sense making an extra 15 grand a year, and having less money. the label is going to put out the cds, do a tour, and if its still a money pit after the summer, i'm done with it. like alot of things in tiffin, i've put in way more effort than i'll ever get back, and i'm starting to realize theres a whole world that does reciprocate here.
last thursday wiese, heather, and brian came up for the bronx/big business show. i got to see joe preston, he looked angry alot of the time, but plays like its not a challenge at all. the bronx was amazing, i was up front singing the whole time. big business was good too, they've added a synth and get a little more experimental than the first time i saw them, but i really dig them. i was also really impressed with buried inside. high on fire doesn't really do it for me, i can see why preston would want to bail.
met a girl from a personals site sunday for lunch, it was ok, but not really much chemistry. then at indie night at b-sides a girl said like 12 words to me, and it made my day. i didn't sleep much that night half wanting to go back and ask her to dance, half just getting an ego boost. hopefully i'll see her again sunday. i worked things out with work so i can enjoy indie night, still get a decent amount of sleep, and then go into work, so that will be nice.
i've been lifting weights with guys from work after work a few nights a week, i think i'm going to add cardio into the other nights of the week whether it be elliptical machine or swimming, lifting doesn't seem to be having much effect on the stomach.
saw the ponys tonight at the spot. really good show, free too. also did burger beer night monday with andy, trying to take advantage of what the neighborhood here offers. i can tolerate beer now, but, coffee or soda still rank higher, juice or smoothies win over all though.
thats about it for now. working on a few websites, my graduate school portfolio, getting letters of recommendation around, and mixing/mastering andy's cd for an ux ux release. relearning flash, learning nuendo.. fun stuff.
if things stay pretty bad financially i'll probably be selling alot of stuff. might start up a podcast with tim. my ipod is almost full.. that is all.
