another week, another poker loss, though a good weekend. jen and i had dinner with shane, maggie and a couple of their friends from work. that basically kicked off our weekend on friday. satuday we took a little road trip around mid-west colorado. we had some breakfast in woodland park, ate a quick lunch on cottonwood pass, then soaked at some hot springs.

while that was a blast, we got back in time to checkout a friends band at the hi-dive. i didn't expect to stay so long however it was their cd release party. jen and i had a little moment there, although it almost seemed to take a turn for the worse. we were having good conversation, though i think because we were a bit tired, plus drinking, it just amplified the matters. i had one of those moments where i just didn't understand why i was even speaking, eh i suck. luckily we got back on track and were able to enjoy our friends band.

my day didn't really end until close to 3am after i got back from the little after party the band had going on. by then jen was already passed out, though probably a good thing.
