oooh!! going to thailand, you lucky dog!!! i know the most wonderful island in the world!!! i can give you all the info to get there, it's that's your deal. unless you want to go to a bog crowded beach with lots of rave hippies and frat boys. i loved all the food. not a single bad meal. not a single mediocre meal... best food in the world. no contest.
Lipe is SUPER easy to get to. no worries... and we met ONE other american tourist there ( good news). the rest were european, and all very mellow. there to chill. lotsa frenchies.

I had the most kick ass christmas this year--International xmas. I spent xmas eve with a friend from Portugal and his friends from Brazil, Portugal, Camaroon etc... We had a Portuguese dinner(cod and rabbit) and boogied the night away. Then the next day I went to my friends from Jamaica. We had curried goat for dinner. Delicious! Quite a difference from my typical boring white...

I got together with my family (no presents either) and we had a sort of International Christmas of our own. We did Armenian food pot luck style. Lamb shish-kabob (sp?) Hummus, baba ganuj, turkey stuffed with rice and raisins. spinach salad. It was great.
