Last night, working at the coffee cart.
I was cleaning out the blender when I heard a loud thud.
Ann said to go find out what that was.
I walked around to the front and there's a man spasming on the ground.
That thud was his head hitting the ground.
Then there's a crowd of 20 + people, all on their cell phones calling 911.
Wondering why they're on hold.
Luckily Jerry (the gay wrestler) and the student nurse rushed in and took control.
It took our campus patrol about the same amount of time to get to the scene as the ambulance.
I felt like an ass, making drinks while this was happening, but people were still ordering, seemingly bothered that there's a guy lying in a pool of his own blood but not enough to give up their caffeine. Should have told them to fuck off, but I'll blame it on my state of shock.
I can't begin to imagine what I would have done if all those people weren't there.
Probably would've crouched in a corner and rocked back and forth until help arrived.
