So Long Amory...
Today is the last day living in The Dalles, Oregon
and tomorrow will be my last day in Oregon, period.
At 5:30 AM on Thursday February 25th, I will be boarding a plane at Portland International Airport bound for Phoenix, Arizona, connecting to a flight to Newark, New Jersey.
After almost three years living in Oregon, I'm returning to my hometown indefinitely
It's a big step.
I've spent all morning packing and repacking, dealing with my unemployment, figuring out what to do about my bank, and so on so forth.
Today is my last day in The Dalles, and not one person I know in this town wants to spend any time doing the ridiculous shit we're accustomed to. It's a bit of a buzzkill.
Tomorrow I will be in Portland for the last time until I can afford a vacation, and then I will be traveling all Thursday. It's gotten more and more real the closer it's gotten. I made the decision only about a week ago, and here's where I stand.
