So onto the blog topic today
I thought about something in the shower today after watching the film "Religulous" by Bill Maher. He had made a comment about Jesus and Santa, and my mind instantly went to that infamous tape that became South Park involving Santa and Jesus and the whole nature of the holiday.
It got me thinking that comparatively, South Park has lost its real knack for outlandish stories, such as Mecha-Streisand vs. Robert Smith from The Cure and Sydney Portier, Spookyfish, Scuzzlebutt (with Patrick Duffy as a leg), Pinkeye zombies, and so much more that was so wildly outlandish and random in the first few years.
Over the last three or four years (probably even further back) South Park lost the edge, the real out of this world humor that made Primus fit as the theme song, kept Isaac Hayes coming back as Chef, and gained a fan base unlike most Sci-Fi shows.
Now what do we see? Stupid repetitive jokes that aren't even funny once, unnecessary social commentary in the same basic format as Family Guy (only instead of multiple in an episode, it's one episode focused around a single social fad), and worst of all, a complete loss of the shock factor that made it great.
I will get on bended knee and plead with Trey Parker and Matt Stone: PLEASE stop making episodes of South Park. PLEASE.

South Park is a horrible show, I hate dumb jokes and dumb comedies and yay indeed for falling for nate he makes me happy
