Let's all sing songs and get along
That would work great

Since that's not how the world works though, I'm dipping my hand into the humanitarian realm, and would like to invite everyone here to join me

I started a team recently for Folding@Home, a project from Stanford University in which they use Distributed Computing (Explanation:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
In the most simply sense, distributed computing is a networking term to describe millions of computers giving power and use from their CPU {Central Processing Unit} in order to form one giant supercomputer, working to solve a common problem through simple distributed tasks

) to study the ways that proteins fold (Explanation:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Proteins are the base of everything in the world and universe as we know it. Tiny little amino acids come together to form the polypeptides which make up life as we know it. These proteins fold, which means they coil up from a linear form to that of a three-dimensional structure, making them do their designated task. When proteins misfold though, that's how a good amount of severe diseases begin NOTE: I repeatedly say as we know it because we do not know everything about the universe. There could be organisms based solely off RNA instead of DNA, and orgasms that use a different polypeptide structure

) and how it is linked to diseases like Cancer, Alzheimer's, and Mad Cow. The program runs by giving out simple portions of larger projects and observing what occurs by running simulations of folding proteins and misfolds.

If anyone is interested in joining my team, let me know, and I can send you a message instructing you how to install the software and how to select what amount of CPU it can use

Tell your friends about this, it's something that can help the world just by having your computer or PS3 on
YES! I said PS3! PS3s come standard with Folding@Home software, and Standford University actually uses PS3s in their labs! Another reason why PS3 is better than Xbox 360: It can cure cancer.
