So, Watchmen
I say it was pretty badass
The photography in the movie produced alot of shots worthy of screenshot-ing to make a background,
and then leaving you indecisive as to which one you'd like to actually BE the background
The music also created an interesting air that definitely lightened the tone of a seemingly dark and somber movie.
There are moments of humor, moments of gore, moments of romance, and moments of something I can only describe as blue, dangly, and odd
The main cast portrayed their characters wonderfully, most notably being Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach, a character who I, to my horror, found a commonality in. The character is a complete lunatic, but in the anti-hero form that I find so endearing
The minor characters, for the most part, were boring, and overexerted. It did add the seemingly standard comic book adaptation sense of simplicity. Frankly, they were corny and they sucked at acting, but it was a must, considering the fact it IS a comic book film
I think my biggest complaint is putting as much graphic sex in as they did
Either I'm getting old, or there was ALOT of sex in that movie
They also showed gratuitous full frontal male nudity
Sorry, but as an american movie goer, I will openly say glowing blue penises that are almost as big as mine do not make a movie worth watching
In the end, it comes to the same conclusion. I'm pre-ordering it on blu-ray.
Go see it
It's worth the 8 bucks
