I've got a tortoise!
A Sulcata to be exact. Not sure if we are doing the right thing by keeping it though. Long story short: The poor thing was about to get hit by a car or 10 by my friends house. We picked it up and brought it into the back yard to figure out what to do with it and she kind of made herself at home
Her name is Manuelita. Our area is really busy with traffic and there is no doubt she would get hit out there so I think it's safer for her where she is at. Right?
Anyways I bought a big dog house and some tortoise stuff for her as shelter, food et-cetera and she seems happy enough. They are pretty strong so if she really wants to leave she can burrow out or just break through the fence or something. Hopefully she'll be happy and safe though.
The funny thing is about two weeks ago I was very very close to buying a couple of Russian Tortoises.
