Today has been unexpectedly excellent.

Work has calmed down somewhat, now they can revert to type and make a mess for the rest of the week, just to ensure that we achieve a decent level of panic next week when the inspectors are back.
I on the other hand have been supremely organised and brilliant. I'm actually very proud of myself and the work I have done. Trouble is I do have to rely on other people to do what they say they are going to do to, otherwise I look like a twat. Time will tell.

I will end up looking like a twat, I may as well be prepared. I just hope that folk are prepared for the unholy wrath that will be unleashed if I do. I'm allowed to make myself look like a twat, but you my friend....are not.

Anyways, I have given myself tonight off to eat prawn crackers, catch up with my correspondance and generally sit on my arse.
In honour of this I am having a night with wine. *Gasp* yes on a school night an all.

So I toddled myself off to the offy and purchased a bottle of "Sav-vy" Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. Now I must say that I don't often drink white these days, I find it can be a little too much of a gamble. Bad red, in my opinion is much easier to drink than bad white.
But I'm really really impressed. I highly recommend it. It's been a while since I have enjoyed a galss of wine quite so much. It's very good.
"This wine from Marlborough, New Zealand is an intense glass full of green citrus fruit. A rapier sharp, sense-awakening bottle of wine, a simply stunning example that delivers pungent blast of wild gooseberry and crisp green apple fruit. Contains flavours that will linger on the palate and refresh the taste-buds. Benchmark stuff!"

Now what music should I have with it?

Mmmmm wine. Kiwiw wine is pretty good, not as good as Aussie stuff of course but hey. They make a really nice Pinot Noir too; tastes great with pate and flatbread.

Sav Blanc calls for prawns and penne in a creamy, garlic- and chili-laden sauce. Better than prawn crackers, believe me.

Miles Davis.
