Damn it all to hell.
We're STILL here. No apartment yet. My BFF was going to be our roomie but her current roomies and BF don't want her to leave so she's staying put. Therefore, we're screwed because we need a roomie to move out there. Being that the whole plan is pretty much ruined its on hold indefinately. I was planning to leave my job as busser at the casino because there's sooo much drama and I hate it but its less than 30 days from the end of my 120 day initial probation period (25 days to be exact). That means I can (with any luck) transfer to barback. And then after 90 days I can transfer again to bartender (hopefully). So, basically at the moment the hope is to stay around at the casino for another 6 months and get bartending experience. Hopefully after 6 months i'll have enough experience to get a better job out in OC and enough money saved to actually move there. On top of that I just got the job at Torrid and its 40% discount at Torrid AND Hot Topic and who would want to give that up?
The only problem is, Lori, Isaac and I can't stay where we are for much longer. It's too cramped and complicated. Even though I have 2 jobs and Lori has a job and a child support check, it's gunna be hard to afford a place on our own plus all our other bills and such. We're looking into studios. We found one near her job which is great because she doens't have a car yet (written test appointment on Tuesday, she better pass! She's not practicing in my car without a permit) and she can walk there and home.
