my husband and i are horrified that it appears the gay marriage ban will pass. apparently no matter how many people we speak with, no matter how many signs we wave, we can't get people to understand that prop 8 promotes discrimination and that discrimination is wrong. not so very long ago couples like jason and i weren't allowed to marry because of discrimination. is gay marriage really so dissimilar?

i'm so disappointed.

God, prop 8 pisses me off so much...I can't believe how much our state fails on this issue. I mean, California is one big melting pot of culture...I don't understand how we can except and embrace everyone else, but not gays. 8 goes against everything America stands for...Freedom of choice, equality, the pursuit of happiness...Apparently all those things don't matter blackeyed

Oh well...I'm sure this topic is going to remain on the table...Let's just hope California gets it right the next time around.
