i have to go on a business trip next week. 2 days in Long Beach and 2 days in Costa Mesa. cool with me. work is footing the hotel bill and paying for gas. i didn't find out about Long Beach until today. whatever. 4 days away from home.
work is burying me. being in charge has it's perks, but i'm just not cut out for this corporate nonsense. i just wanna listen to music, and make music, and drink, and fuck, and play videogames, and generally have a good time. i'm becoming such a boring person. i hate it. responsibility creeps up on you, man. you go looking for it, thinking i makes you an adult, and then it bites you in the ass and sucks all that was once awesome about you right out of your body.
i bought a guitar on impulse a year ago, but i don't play. i wanted to learn so i could sing and play and feel cool. now i'm just a lame chick with a guitar i can't play.
i wish i could bust out of this shell.

Im with you on that. All the creativity i used to have has just been drained over the years from the repetition of working every week all week. I always thought they were just fucking around when they said * enjoy it while youre young* but apparently that wasnt the case.
