And I'm tired of officers giving speechies telling me how proud they are of me for enlisting in a time of war; a war to which I am morally opposed. The other thing I'm tired of: the phrase "Nobody put a gun to your head to get you to sign up," used every time anyone shows the slightest disinterest in going on some shitty detail.
Still, it's better than the ex-military civilian contractors who think everyone should still respect the rank they had before they quit. We were in formation the other day and a pizza delivery guy who was walking by stopped and said "You better stop looking around in formation; I used to be an NCO and I can get you in a lot of trouble."
Yeah, drop and give me ten ninety-nine.
By the way, what the hell happened to the CD Swap thing that was supposed to take place about six months ago? I'd do a search on the boards, but I have no time, ever.
