Things are well. I've made significant progress in reinsulating my attic, I'm slowly building up a collection of BBC parts for when the weather warms up (and therefore my garage), and no critters have moved into my truck's upholstery.
I learned a good portion of my automotive knowledge by either tinkering or replacing two related parts when one part broke. Brake line blows = rebuild the entire system. Boredom = rebuild steering gear.
