It turns out I can be a little too defensive sometimes. I guess I misjudged the true volume of fucked up people out there in the world; so many that a stranger's first assumption would group me with them. It's my failing to understand that other people can't immediately see the character inside you that it takes so much to build. I'm not a great person by any means, and looking back on some of my mistakes growing up I'd find it a stretch to even call myself a "good" person it the grand context of things. But I never did or will do anything to deliberately hurt anyone, except to protect my friends and family and I will do anything that I can to help my friends and those I meet to any end, because I feel like I owe that much to the world. How is anyone else supposed to know that though.
