soooo....
friday was simultaneously hurricane ivan and my dance party. i was thinking there would be at least 300 people there, but only about 100 people ended up showing up because of the weather. it was pretty sucky, and i kept apologizing to the owner about how shitty the turn out was. both other djs arrived almost 1 hour until the end of the party becaue of the weather [HUGE thanks to minimalism for coming out in the hurricane to dj]. before they got there, i had to dj the WHOLE TIME... WITHOUT HEADPHONES, which was pretty stressful. thank god ian was there to help me, so i didn't have a heart attack and die. i ended up playing mostly hiphop and a bit of indie rock, which seemed to go over well. ed played dance music for like 45 minutes. then tom played for the last half hour and, let me tell you, i've never heard anyone beat match 80s music as well as he did. i'm used to a song stopping and waiting a few seconds for the next one to start. it was AMAZING. so at the end of the night, the owner comes over to me and tells me that my friday night had been better than any friday night they've had in forever. and that was WITH the hurricane. so it was a success! i'm so happy. i can't wait until the next one. OCTOBER 1ST! it's going to be HUGE.
tom and jamielee ended up staying an extra day and we went out for fancy italian at girasole in shadyside and then coldstone ice cream in the morning. goooodddd, that stuff is expensive as fuck and addictive as all get out. i'm gaining back all the weight i lost... dammit. we went to the carnegie museum, since the warhol was flooded from the hurricane, inundated with sewage and closed for disinfecting. yuck. so i had the entire weekend off. tom went and got a REALLY awesome tattoo of a flapper at eye candy tattoo.
i've resolved not to miss anymore classes, so i dragged myself out of bed this morning at 7am, to get to my morning math class, which was just NOT THERE. i find out a few hours later they'd decided to switch the room and didn't email or post a sign about it or anything. what the fuck. so i missed math. again. suck. i went to all my other classes and came home with the really pretty girl from my yoga class and got more fucking coldstone. the girl working was even like, "weren't you just in here yesterday?" jeeeezus.

i can't stop playing fable. it's ultra fun. and now i have to do 100 math problem for class tomorrow. YUM!!
