the neuroscience advisor is the nicest lady evvveeerrrr. even thought i technically can't declare my major until next term, which means she can't formally take me on as her advisee, she said she'd do all my scheduling for me and answer any questions i had about anything. she also [
] said today that i realistically wasn't going to be able to make it out of pitt in two years. i'm going to try REALLY hard to get out before then, though. she also said that i should start shadowing at hospitals and join the neuroscience club and start writing for the neuroscience newsletter, which would look really good for medical school. and then next year i can start doing research! she gave me a list of professors and their areas of research so i can start figuring out who i want to work with. i'm steering waaay clear of any animal research, so it'll be kind of tough to find something. i'll have to do clinical research, but if i'm super lucky, i can find a place with the people working with the fMRI that UPMC has. that would rock SO HARD.
