(christ, i don't think i can do a journal entry without referencing music. i need help. someone please extract these hipster tendencies from the appropriate lobe! use whatever sharp object is at hand, i'm not picky!)
i'm going back and editing poems for my creative writing portfolio. i really can't get over how much i hate writing poetry about my life. especially considering all i do is mope, take various substances, and then mope more loudly. yeesh.
on the bright side, i like the three poems i chose to edit a lot better now. the only one that's actually about me is slightly more tolerable, and contains a new, sort-of clever line: "i've never been able to fake interest well enough to catch yours."
maybe it's a little too sad bastard, though. slightly emoish, even. i might consider taking it out again after i make coffee.
