The daughter of Turkey's ambassador to the US, Pelin Batu studied piano at Ankara Conservatory at Marymout School and Mannes College of Music later majoring in philosophy, literature and acting at New York University. Because of her father's appointments to different European countries, she also attended the Sorbonne and ended up getting her BA in History from Bosphorus University, Istanbul, Turkey. After her appearence on Ferzan Ozpetek's Harem Suare, she has become a hot item in Turkey's ever-expanding media. An innocent looking woman with a femme fatale flavour, Pelin Batu continues to expand her acting talents.
