I had a goOoOd week:
--I started taking a West African dance class and it is the best kickin' my azz workout, ever(not to mention we learn our steps to live drumming). If I am ever close to half as good as my instructor (before I die), I will be too cool for school.
--Homocore is next Thursday and I'm pleased as punch. Mach Fox and the Nobots (I am a nobot) are performing and I hope to have a hillariously-bizarre outfit together. If you have not heard Scream Club, do so now. For they will blow up in your face soon. Pinky-swear.
--I went to the Minnesota Music Awards with a gang of amazing people and drank too much Tom Collins. But the coolest news (aside from that tornado warning we drove through)...after 9 years as a hard-rock stapple in Minneapolis, All The Pretty Horses won best hard-rock group in MN. They are like the Susan Lucie's(can't spell her name) of the MN rock scene. They fucking deserve it.
--I shot a set with Lithium Picnic and the man is a genius. Not to mention a very down-to earth and down-azz guy. I think the set will turn out amazing and I need to give props to Venus of All The Pretty Horses for letting me use her band space and one of her paintings in the pics.
--Saw the newly released documentary on Deep Throat and I recommend it, highly. I use to steal that porno from my dad when I was a youngin' and now I got to learn all the contraversy behind it. That and Vernon, FL are two of my fav. new docs. WELL, I really like the Vernon, FL doc for the old man who talks about brains. Whilst watching it you will learn the difference between a one-track mind and a four-track mind. I love funny-old southern men. I promise you will want to learn the difference.
