So Saturday will mercifully be my last day at work. I then spend all of next week unemployed and packing my belongings, and then I move back to Boston.
Today was my last day working with Andrew. Andrew's this high school kid we hired for Christmas but has stayed on through (Next week, however, will be his last. Much like everyone else at the store, he thinks our new manager is a prick and gave his notice). It's funny: I always look forward to my last day at a job, but it's the things I'll never do again that bums me out. The last day I work with this employee; the last time I see this customer who only shops Sundays; the last time I'll be able to sort shipment (Which would normally be a shit task, but if you're a big movie dork like me, it's always fun to sort through boxes upon boxes of DVDs not yet released). At least I'll still be hanging with you 'Drew, as he's directing a stage presentation of Glengarry Glen Ross I'm acting in (He wrote in the Alec Baldwin scene not originally in the play for my to perform. That kid fucking rocks!).
Wow, I really used a lot of parenthesis in this journal entry.
Off to sleep, and more jobhunting!
