This one is for Michael Jackson. I just watched the memorial on yahoo and cried through the whole thing.
Al though these are not the best pix in the world but i took them through the computer with my phone. It was just really sad.

The songs that they sang were perfect. It really got to me when his brothers' spoke and began to cry or got choked up. In the end when his daughter spoke, that was immense! They all made good points in thier speaches. They all did an awsome job in telling their personal stories about him. We all got to know a bit more about who Michael really was.

What gets to me the most, are the bad moments he went through. How he transformed himself because he didn't want to look like his father. The accident he had and all the physical agony he was going through as well as the emotional. All the criticism and accusations. He gave and gave and never expected anything back. He understood very well that music has a healing effect and through music he wanted to heal the world. How having so much money, he put it to good use. He gave huge chunks to charity and even built Neverland Ranch where everything was free. Where a kid can feel like a kid and the parents would enjoy the moment too instead of worring about money and usual grown up problems.

Michael tried to make a difference in every way he could. He gave it all he got. Since he was a kid he had to give up a lot. So much talent in him. And it was true what his brother said, he tried to enjoy what we all take for granted. Most of us can freely walk down the street without worrying about being chased by cameras and large crowds. Most of us can just go to McDonald's and hang out without being bothered.

I'm sure that Michael was happy when he gave, and especially to see that everything he did made a difference. Its so sad to know what he had to go through. But i'm glad he had loyal fans and support and in his memorial, many people went to show him that he did make a difference.

I do think that he left too soon. But at least he won't be in pain anymore. He won't suffer from his problems, physical or emotional agony, and all the accusations he confronted. The part i liked best about the memorial was when the family advisor said, "Your Daddy wasn't strange, it was strange what your Daddy had to deal with" THAT was perfectly said.

This guy is a legend. His music, performance and humanitarian actions are what make him the loving person everyone will miss. More people should be like him. We don't all need to know how to sing and dance but we can all help each other just the way he did. If we can share what we have with those in need, our world will be a better place. He tried to make it a better place by being humble. And yet, he was not able to enjoy life as much as he wanted. He wanted to be a kid, he wanted to have fun and laugh and just be normal and yet share all he had to give someone else a reason to smile. I wish i would have known him or at least met him to thank him personally for all the great things he has done.

I just wish we could all become better people and find ways to help each other more. But sometimes all i see is greed and selfishness. It's rare when you see someone offer someone else help.

I just hope Michael is remembered mostly for the person he was and the life he lived. I hope we can all admire his great humble character. And i really hope he can see all this and hear our voices during these moments. So he can see that he was loved by the WORLD through the messages he brought and the examples he set.
