Just walked past Griff's Inn and its predictably crazy. Van Morrison and cheap beer on St. Patrick's Day...who'd a thunk it?
Had a two hour hearing today concerning a not-yet-five-month-old kiddo with chronic bilateral subdural hematoma. Read: Two, several month old brain bleeds. And absolutely no explanation from anyone in the family, from parents to grandparents and everyone else. The kid's head swelled several centimeters in January and no one--until one set of horrified grandparents stepped up to the plate--did anything. Child probably wasn't shaken, but endured some serious trauma...
Makes you want to shake the parents, though.
At least we "won"--and the "good" grandparents have temporary custody so no more foster care!
I think I might now be too tired to even drink a beer.
