so my wife and daughter left for new york to visit my wife's best friend from college. This is cool and I am happy for her. However, I've never been away from daughter for this long before and it's really bugging me. She's 2, so I thought the break might be kind of nice--I'd get to play music, stay out late, you know do those things that you don't do as much once you have a kid. But, that wore off about 2 hours after they left and now I'm bored with no little one running around the house. I can't wait for them to get home.

I know where you are coming from. My daughter is only 7months (and has never been away from me), but I always felt that way about the wife going away. fun at first but really not what I want.
