EDIT: ok, since i just got my second email asking if those kids in my profile pic are mine...they're not. i don't have kids or ex-wives and whatnot...that i know of, heh. i'm just a big dork and like to play with other peoples' kids when i can as long as i don't have to be the responsible one. -pb
as some of you know, i'm an AF guy an di work at Andrews AFB in DC as a communications officer. this week has been hectic to say the least, but pretty fun.
yeah, its been crazy. the base where i work is the hub of everyone flying in. i volunteered to work the flightline this week, helping to corrdinate all of the logistics for the several dozen foreign planes flying in and out of the country. i met one prime minister, one president of a small african country, one king, several ambassadors and a whole shitload of other foreign nationals. i got tours of a the russian AF2, italian AF1, yemen AF1, and a host of other awesome charter planes which other heads of state use for worldwide transport.
i also helped organize the afb detail when they brought the coffin back onto base and loaded it onto AF2. if you look real hard on tv you may see me somewhere in the back on the raised platform when they pan the crowd, but maybe not.
say what you want about the military, but sometimes the job is great. i think its a testament to our cool country that i can have the views that i do and still serve honorably. if there were enough people like me there, maybe we could influence things enough not to go picking on countries who are helpless against us and only go after the ones who come after us...
ah, who knows. its been a long, wet, rainy, knockdown dragout 14 hour day for me...so i'm finishing this stout and bringing my sunburned body (from previous days) to bed. naked.
