Man it was so freakin' hot today! 92 friggin degrees! Understand up here in the lovely mountains, it averages in the mid 80's. Today was the first time in over two years the high went over 90 degrees. The heat really put me on edge. At work, tempers were running high, and ice was running low. Every other drink was either iced or frozen. I about bit one ladys head off. We had a line of cars in the drive through, all waiting for shakes of freezes, and this lady comes to the counter wanting to order a mocha freeze. I tell her it's going to be a few minutes, because we're backed up. I continue making drinks for the drive through and she gets all upset because I'm don't start making her drink right away. After waiting literally like 30 seconds she gets all huffy and demands her money back. So I have to stop what Im doing go to the counter and refund her money. As I said I felt like biting her head off, but I give her money back, and with as much sarcasm dripping from my words as condensation on the plastic cup of iced coffee, I tell her have a good day.
Also there was another woman who got upset when I mistakenly made her an iced red-eye instead of a hot one. I guess I just assumed, being a sweltering day, she would rather have a cold drink instead of a hot one. I can't comprehend how people can sit out in the hot ass sun and drink hot coffee. It boggles the mind.
Bele Chere is coming up. For all you non-Ashevillian types, Bele Chere is an outdoor festival held downtown each year in which thousands of people from all over descend upon our quaint mountain town to drink beer in the hot sun, get severely sunburned and dehydrated, watch some second string jammy bands, and perhaps buy some shoddy piece of folk art. It is a good time to see friends though, because for some reason, even though every native hates Bele Chere, they always come home for it. I have a bunch of friends form out west coming into town. It should be fun. Oh and Blues Traveler is headlining this year. What more can I say?
Finally I need a haircut. I'm seriously considering shaving it all off. Whay do you think?
Oh yeah, I have a new friend. Yay! Everyone go say hi to Mina_Milku and give her a nice belly rub.

it got up to at least 100 here today, but yeah, that is uncommon for the mountains I guess.
