So it's as cold here as the ninth circle of Dante's Inferno. I think I see Brutus stuck in the ice out there. The worst part, it's completely deceiving because it's sunny without a cloud in the sky. Real torture.
My family had a garage sale over the weekend. My mom thought that since we were having such great weather, we should gather up unwanted items and peddle them to bargain hunters. Of course on the day we decided to do it the weather got all bi-polar on us. Rainy and cold, not ideal sales conditions, but I managed to make around $100. Woohoo.
I took some of my earnings to the Hope and Anchor CD release show at the Grey Eagle. It was the best show I've seen by them. They're usually not mic'ed and with people talking it's usually hard to hear them. This show however, they had area mic's and the crowd was quiet, and really appreciative. They are so lovely. Mellow with such great harmonies. I bought their CD. Most of you people, even Asheville folks, have never heard of them, but you should definitely check them out sometime if you have a chance. I wish they had a website. I think they're playing the Grey Eagle again in Feb.
Tyler Ramsey also played. He is a great singer songwriter as well.
But these people probably had the best weekend: SGNCers
The play Matt and Ben seems to be progressing well. It's nerve-wracking knowing we only have a little over two weeks before we open. I hope we can make it. We dont really have a choice though, the show must go on! We've got lots of rehearsals scheduled between now and then, but it's never enough. Keep your fingers crossed. Feb 3-12. Make plans now dammit!
Now how famous are you?
