So the auditions are over and now it's time to cast this thing. It was a small turnout over the two days, but some really talented people showed up. I was nervous after the first day of auditions because I didn't have enough people to cast the show. I was relieved to see more people on the second day. A couple of people I was hoping would audition came, and some others who I wasn't familiar with showed up and really gave good readings. Of course there were a few that really weren't so good. There were a couple of scenes I picked out which involved rather risqu business with a banana, and it was funny to watch the actors try to out do one another. By the time the auditions were over I pretty much knew who I wanted. I think I'll have a fun cast. Now I just hope they all accept the roles. Tomorrow I have to start the painful process of calling the people I'm not going to use. I hate it, but its necessary. I always feel like an asshole afterward.
