I long for the day when all the hippies have to cut their dreads.
It's a lazy day today. I was supposed to run lights for a dance show this morning but it was canceled because school was on a two hour delay, which meant that none of the school groups could come see the show. I should be doing something constructive, but I'm procrastinating, looking up things on my stolen internet that actually works for once. It's been a rather slow time for me recently, but the dam is about to break. I enjoy the work I guess.
I've seen Across the Universe three times now, and while many people have panned it, I think it gets better with each subsequent viewing. I think it's moving, visually creative, and really original. It's been gone from first run theaters for a while, but all praise the $2 second run theaters. Definitely one of my favorites of the year along with: Juno, No Country For Old Men, Sunshine, Stardust, Sweeney Todd, Grindhouse, 3:10 to Yuma, Ratatouille, The Darjeeling Limited, and Paris, Je T'Aime.
(Edit 1/22/08) Add There Will Be Blood to the top of that list. Absolutely Amazing.

I really wish I'd spent some time in Ashville when I was out there... I'm sure I would have enjoyed my time in the south much more.
