I've spent the past two days sounding like Shaggy. (From Scooby-Doo, not the boombastic guy) Zoinks! Apparently when the cold left it took my voice along for the ride. I struggled getting through my performances the past three days. It cracked me up the first day because I sounded like I was going through puberty, kind of like the squeaky voiced teen on the Simpsons. A squeaky voice would have been strangely appropriate if we were doing the middle school show, but it's a little early for Benjamin's (the kid I play in the elementary show) voice to start breaking. Which reminds me I better shave tonight or he'll really look like he's an early bloomer. Yesterday and today I was pretty much down to almost a whisper. I had to do the show though, because we can't cancel, and I don't have an understudy. At least my character is supposed to have allergies so I have an excuse. It's coming back slowly now. It should be fully back by the weekend, just in time for me to kill it again doing Karaoke.
