Somehow I must have off-handedly commented to my cast mates that last years tour group were crazier than this years. Thankfully my tour mates weren't offended by this comment, but ever since then they're determined to prove me wrong.
Last night they wanted to go out and explore Asheville's bar scene on a Saturday night. Since I'm the only one who knows his was around Asheville, of course I was obliged to be the tour guide. Unsure entirely of their tastes I started off with some safe bets; The Usual Suspects, The New French Bar, and Scully's. After the safe barhopping round, I felt they were adventitious enough to handle the lower depths of Broadways. We headed down to Broadways but were denied, since one of the crew only had an out of state ID card. At that moment my perceptions changed. The crew decided they wanted to see a drag show. A stay in Asheville isn't really complete until you've done a few things: been on the parkway, been shopping at a "New Age" store downtown, been to the Biltmore House, been accosted for change by gutter punks, and been to a Drag Show. Now I don't go to Drag Shows often, but being an Asheville native one is required to learn where these things take place. Not wanting them to miss out on the total Asheville experience so I complied with their request and took them to Club Hairspray for their Saturday night cabaret show. There were about five performers who all did a decent job. Two of them I'm convinced were actually female. The highlight of the show was one Atlanta performer who had this whole Tina Turner medley act that was utterly amazing. This performer had all of Tina's moves down pat, and had enough attitude to pull it off flawlessly. I bowed down to his/her incredible skill. My cast mates showed a little of their wild side, dancing with the performers, catcalling along with the crowd, and inserting tips into tasseled padded push up bras. After the cabaret show was over they put on some dance music, and we inched our way onto the dance floor. Actually we were the only ones dancing. We probably scared everyone else off. We ended up staying at Hairspray and dancing until about 2:30am, by then the bar staff were restless and ready to go home.
Well I don't know if they totally convinced me that their as crazy as last years crew, at least they convinced me that they can have a fun time.

Tonight I'm going to spend 15 minutes on the eliptical machine and then try the pilates class. I hope I am anyway.
Sounds like you've been having fun!
So far no call.... so that is good!
Miss you like crazy!
