I just read on Yahoo news today that the Manatee maybe taking off the endangered species list. This is indeed fantastic news and a sign that we as a society are slowly learning to live with nature instead of moving in and destroying it. Now this will not happen overnight it has been a slow process for many years but we have made much progress Eagles being taken off the endangered species list, California Condors being reintroduced. All are very good starts, and anyone else out there have any enviro news that made them happy to hear?

My girlfriend was just telling me a story about how they imported manatees into a lake that had an over-abundance of a certain type of hibiscus that was poisonous to the indiginous fish population. The manatees were brought in the eat the hibiscus. Different....wink

Or it's a sign that someone at the World Wildlife Federation suddenly developed a taste for manatee.

That's my hope. I sure do loves me some manatee! Woowee!
