My apologies for this being so late in the day.

Every Veterans Day I do a blog just for the occasion.

This blog is dedicated to Lt. Robert M. Kelly USMC. He died in Afghanistan this week, while on patrol. Killed by an IED.

He was from Florida. He is survived by his parents, wife, a sister and a brother. Both his brother and father are in the Marines. His father a three star General.

This was Kelly's third tour in combat. His first two tours were as an enlisted man. One tour in Iraq and one previous tour in Afghanistan.

Amongst his medals and decorations was a purple heart for wounds received in combat on a previous mission.

Goodbye Lt. Kelly.

I send my condolences to his family and friends. And to all who have lost in our wars for freedom.

Thank you to you veterans, who we all owe so much.
